Following a private one-hour health assessment, classes are run in courses of six weeks. Pregnancy classes and private tuition is also available.
Pilates Mat Classes for all levels are run Monday to Thursday. Accommodating up to twelve participants, classes are run in courses of approximately 6 weeks. Please call to reserve a mat on this popular Pilates course.

Private home studio sessions are available Monday to Friday by appointment only. Tailored to your individual requirements using our pilates 'reformer' and other training equipment, one-to-one and duet sessions offer more targeted fitness benefits.
Before you start pilates an initial fitness assessment is essential. The private one-to-one session teaches the basic Pilates principles and exercises. I also assess your medical history and current health. Personal limitations dictate which exercises are best suited to your health and any medical condition or injury you may have. Following the assessment we can decide whether group classes or private tuition is preferable.

What to bring
Please wear comfortable but fitted clothing where possible and socks. You are not required to bring anything to classes, all mats and equipment is provided.
Injury or Medical Condition?
If you do have an injury or medical condition, please ensure that you have permission from your Doctor or Medical practitioner prior to the initial assessment. If you are referred by a specialist practitioner, please feel free to give them my details should they wish to contact me. Alternatively, I can contact them if you can provide me with their details.
Pilates is extremely beneficial during pregnancy, however it is not advised between 8 and 14 weeks. After 14 weeks, private/duet studio sessions or group beginner classes would be suitable. Please always advise if you do become pregnant if already attending a class, as your programme will need to be modified accordingly. Allow at least six weeks after childbirth before resuming or starting Pilates.
About your instructor Claire
Claire trained with Body Control Pilates in London in 2003. In June 2005 Claire completed the Studio and Equipment teacher training course at Ocean Wave Studio in Brighton under the tuition of Paul McLinden. Claire is an active member of the Body Control Pilates Association and a Level 3 Pilates teacher under The Register of Exercise Professionals.
